Reef Condition Observation
Recurring observation of reef structure and condition at selected monitoring sites.
Projects
Projects are grouped into three programmes. Entries are provisional, scope, sites and outputs are published as each one is confirmed.

Programme 01
Research projects built around repeat observation, the same sites, the same methods, season after season, so that change can be separated from natural variation.
Recurring observation of reef structure and condition at selected monitoring sites.
Establishing a reference record of water quality against which later change can be measured.
Building a documented record of species observed during routine survey work.

Programme 02
Projects that document what is putting coastal systems under strain, and what changes measurably when that pressure is reduced.
Repeat surveys of beach transects to record the composition and volume of marine debris.
Assessment of non-indigenous species associated with vessel traffic and port structures.
Mapping mangrove and seagrass extent to support carbon assessment and protection planning.

Programme 03
Projects concerned with the last step of the research chain, making findings legible to the people whose decisions and daily lives depend on the coast.
Developing classroom material that fits ocean topics into subjects teachers already teach.
Open sessions for coastal communities on marine pressures and shared stewardship.
A plain-language field guide to commonly encountered coastal species and habitats.
Note
9 project entries are listed across the three programmes. No findings, datasets or outcomes are published yet; results are added once reviewed and released.
